Starting with the FT-1000MP, the 1000-series performed FSK using the DDS chip. They are true FSK transmitters (with all the honest and goodness, dirty FSK sidebands :-). You are correct about the FT1

With the FT-1000MP, "RTTY" selects FSK, while "PKT" selects AFSK. 73 Chen, W7AY Yes, there is the money line! Thanks Chen. 73, Gary AL9A _______________________________________________ RTTY mailing

I recall having to change one of the RTTY default settings to reverse. Any of the Yaesu (or Kenwood) transceivers will need to have the RTTY Polarity (6-1 for MK V) or equivalent set to REVERSE if th

My problem is understanding how you tell if her radio is set to AFSK or FSK? RTTY-L and RTTY-U are FSK. To operate AFSK with any of the Yaesu transceivers one selects PKT mode. Prior to the FT-9000/F

Which does horrible things if you run the sound card level too high in the PC or forget to turn off the compressor in the rig. The big benefit of PKT in the Yaesu rigs is that it makes sure the comp
