I've always wondered about that. I've heard that if someone tells you that X9XXX is on 14.050 and you go there and work them, it makes you assisted. 73 Tom W7WHY Would that be a violation of the rule

No, this is all just fine for both you and the other station. The two of you are using ham radio, during the contest, to make contacts. This is the common way in all contests to move multipliers. Ed
