At HC8N last weekend W6OTC and I did some minimal subjective comparison of RITTY and MMTTY simultaneously on the same signal. Most of the time, as expected, both decoders worked fine. On rare occasio

I noticed the same differences by using the built-in RTTY decoder on my 756Pro. As good as MMTTY is, the Pro's decoder sometimes did a better job of picking up some of the data, especially callsigns.

Just a suggestion. MMTTY has several/many modes and setups, and just like a hardware terminal unit not all are for the same conditons/bands. You might experiment with some settings. ________________

Yes - I noticed I made a lot more use of the "Flutter" setup in a clone window this time. Many times the main window had no print while "Flutter" got it fine. - jeff wk6i -- Jeff Stai jds@twistedoak.

I have been using MMTTY for several years and when using the program by itself, it is easy enough to switch between the different demodulator types (or the other sub-settings) in order to get the bes

Switching between MMTTY profiles takes too long (seconds) in a contest situation, so having multiple MMTTY windows open, each with a different profile, is more useful. 73, Ed - W0YK ________________

Scott, there are two ways to change things in MMTTY, and they work either with MMTTY running by itself or with N1MM Logger. If you click on the "TYPE" button on the MMTTY window, it will let you chan

That's assuming you're set up in N1MM to use the "normal" MMTTY window rather than the "small" one. You don't have access to any buttons with the small window. 73 de Terry KK6T ______________________

What is a good combination of profiles to set up, and what parameter settings are optimum? I have been using MMTTY for years and have NEVER figured out how to optimize all the settings that are possi

I can confirm Scott's observation. I had a 756PRO for years and now a 756PRO3 for the last 10 months, and either of them could decode RTTY as well and often better than MMTTY/others. I keep the RTTY

To retain full access to the MMTTY menus and buttons, you can shrink the normal window to a small size (less than the width of the DI window). The buttons are hard to read, but are still very useful

I listen to the sigs. Pretty easy to tell when the carrier drops. Sometimes copy is poor and hard to hear, but even then the waterfall on MMTTY shows if a sig is there or not. Jerry W4UK ____________
