Hi all, Well, apart from suffering several bouts of severe giddiness during the contest when I had to sleep it off, there were some very unusual macros being used. Mainly (I guess) from folk new to R

CQ at the end when in RUN is the best. Some use QRZ but QRZ is not a general call, it is WHO IS CALLING ME? You should have heard someone calling to use that... so the S&P guy may still wait and lost

Well, OK, but as a religious applier of the CQ at the end, I'd really appreciate it if people would pay attention to it: ... P5ABC 599 NV NV W7RN 599 123 123 P5ABC P5ABC TU W7RN CQ P5ABC P5ABC DE KB0

You forgot "5NN". And, from experienced operators who should know better, no repeat of the key part of the exchange, especially on 80 and 40 meters where the error rate from noise is very high on sig

This particular exchange can happen by mistake (operator error) when using N1MM. I haven't used other contest programs to determine if it's possible that this error could occur in other programs. TES

In many cases I suspect the operator is having a bit of fun with us when they do that. Like the California op sending "CACA", and I think some ops contrive to send numbers without FIGS to trip the ne
