The problem isn't only the operator of the DX station. The problem is also on the other side of the pile-up with a lot of people calling 1 or 2 khz up when the operator is asking for 5 to 10 up... a

You are absolutely right, Fred. No since clobbering up totally 8 to 10 kc of the band when all he can listen to is one frequency at a time, but no one can carry on a QSO till this is over, I guess. S

If the operator had been telling people UP 5-10 in his QRZ macro, more people might have been up that far. Instead, at least this evening, no mention of split whatsoever. With the obvious result. And
