What's the correct maximum power level for NAQP? I've seen both 100W(NCJ rules) and 150W(ARRL contest page). The reason I ask is that my DX-77T nominally runs 100W, but the MFJ SWR meter on my tuner(

I'd believe the specifications of your rig sooner than the MFJ power meter. I'd leave the switch where it is. You're likely within the limits of the rules, and certainly within the spirit of them. Bi

I think the 150 watt power level is a historical artifact from the era of rigs with two 6146 finals which could put out as much as 125 watts on some bands. Today, the FT1000 (plain and "D"), IC-781,
