- My FT-1000MP just went on the blink and I have to send it back to Yaesu. As such I will be using my Drake C-line as my main station for a while. Does anyone know if the keying circuit in the manual u

- Jack, Check the T-4XC manual to be sure, but I think the Drake uses grid block keying (negative voltage). You will most likely need a PNP transistor or a FET to key it properly. Mike, W4EF...........

- You need a PNP transistor. Easiest way is to use the serial port and use INVERT after the port number. This will reverse the sense of the output and allow you to use a PNP transistor instead of NPN.
