Occasionally when I have the good fortune to be in run mode, I pick out a call which I have shred of doubt about....let's say, WB6ZVC calls me but I'm not certain of his call. My natural reaction is

Hi Phil, Seems to me it's a function of where in the callsign the "?" appears. I usually put the "?" in to replace the character(s) that I don't have or am not sure about. In that case, I'd prefer to

Phil Personally if I doubt a call and ask for a fill I like to send the whole call when I have it correct so there is no doubt about wheter or not I logged him. It takes a bit more time but I think i

Phil, N6ZZ, suggests "... if the only change to the callsign window is to remove the question mark, the program should proceed as if the callsign was entered into the window correctly the first time
