These are great speakers and less cost than an accessory speaker for sure. The $120 must be very new because I paid $99 in the last few weeks.. I think its the best rag chewing speaker on the market

For fun and not much $ try using a KLH model 979B indoor/outdoor speaker. They come in pairs and are rated at 4-6 ohms. I use one with my Argosy II and it works great...low distortion...probably bett

Jerry Well said. I wouldn't part with my Sounds Sweet either. It is without a doubt, hands down, the best sounding ham speaker I have ever used. You can spend the same money on a speaker that matches

Interesting comparison. Up until the Orion, I used a 4" Realistic (Rad Shack) mini-bookshelf speaker that cost around $25 or so. It works very well. But since I got the Orion, I never plugged it in.
