Hi Folks, I have read the specs on the 1208 and it seems as though it requires 250 mw of drive even after a mod to the input. I understand that my OII will only supply 3.5 to 35 mw via the xverter ja

The high drive may not blow the attenuator resistors instantly, but it won't help the RF detector that does the keying. Perhaps you could hook up a bias to the ALC jack at the same time and drive dow

Easy solution, build a 50 ohm 10 dB pad or attenuator and use it between the transmitter output and the transverter TX input. For the input resistor use 10 pieces of 2W carbon 1000 ohm resistors conn

Since the pin diodes are a differing switching character from the silicon 1N4148, I wonder if you would get the true PIN switchng by using 1N4007 diodes. These power rectifiers are tough, but were ma

Reports on RF switching diodes at HF that I've seen say the 1N4148 works but tends to have some distortion problems. The 1N4007 is indeed a halfway decent PIN diode and pretty rugged. The true made f
