I don't have the issues you're describing on my 565 SAF and it shouldn't have anything to do with your subreceiver type. What would really help is a recording of your SAF in action. A bit of spectral

As best I can tell by ear, the difference between my (566 v3.028) spot and SAF is 2 Hz. That is with SPOT at 350 Hz, STEP at 1 Hz and SAF W at 10 Hz. 73 Ray W2RS _____________________________________
