Same exact heat and cool cycle. Sounds like a missing solder connection that has oxidized over the years. Very likely its around the notch switch button. Or is in the switch contacts themselves. It c

Thats what I would guess also. The POP was what triggered the thought. Light an audio cap that gets disconnected and the re-connected, pops back into the circuit. -- dw dw@sover.net _________________
