Toby, Assuming your unit shipped with 1.08, or came to you within the last year, you have the hardware changes. If the audio is "thin", then I suppose it's time to send the unit back to get that fixe

Don, I contacted Jack Burchfield today about the thin audio and he said the audio rolls off 6DB at 350hz. He said they would look at the DSP and see if they can pump it up at the low end. Hope they c

I don't have an Argonaut V (never even seen one, in fact), but I found the best audio reports from my Corsair II came when I was using a Shure 444. Anybody tried one of these on an Argonaut V? -- Ron

My Argo V had horrible audio until I sent it back for the upgrade. Now it seems fine....or at least I've not received any bad audio reports..as I used to. I use an old Turner +2 CB microphone on it.

Always got good audio reports before and after the upgrade. Use the hand mic which came with my Argo 556 or an older 705 desk mic. Was not impressed with the hand mic which came with the 516. kc4atu
