You can select BC freqs on either VFO, IF the VFO is not assigned to the transmitter. This is true on the ver of firmware I have (1.372, I think) but may be different on other versions. So--to answer

The regular S meter is not connected to the sub receiver and it will only read what the main receiver is listening to. The sub has its own bar-graph meter on the screen. Ron N6IE www.N6IE.com _______
