Like to hear some opinions on the new Centurian versus the Titan III . If I am gonna order the Centurian , I want to do it this week. 1. 1000-1200 watts versus 1500 watts is not an issue for me . 2.

I have owned a Centurion for years, I don't remember how long but over 5 years I know. I bought it used and with the original tubes in it. It will make at least 1300 watts with 100 in on all bands ex

Jim - I totally agree that 1000 or 1200 watts versus 1500 will never make any difference on HF. Glad to hear about the lack of arcing. I was somewhat concerned about the QST review that said they had

Hank, I don't like amps which use tubes that require safety protection circuitry. This is not a Ten-Tec issue but rather a tube selection issue. Use a pair of 3-500's and keep an eye on the grid curr

Hello Hank. I happen to be in the process of putting my Centurion up for sale. I really don't need two. If you think you might be interested, I can give you the details. Let me know. 73, Ken WA4RPH J

As much as I like the Centurion, go for the Titan III. Why? The 3-500Z's put out by RF Parts and used in the Centurion just aren't as stout as the GU-400B's used in a number of amps today. You're rig

Is the Centurian essentially instant on? I have an AL-80B and a AL-1500. I tend to almost exclusively use the 80B because I can just set the load and tune, flip on the amp and in about ten seconds be

Ten Tec has been selling Centurions for a long time and probably sold a lot of them. I have been very happy with mine. It was originally sold in June 1995 to K7TS who, as I recall, replaced it with a
