This could happen if your power is right on the edge of 1000W and a very small variation in that power would drop it below the value needed to light that one LED. I don't know the circuitry, but it c

That happens pretty normally with Ten Tec amps. The 'reason' is the padder and the blocking caps have poor temp coefficients. Solution is to replace those caps with X5V temp coefficient capacitors...

Greetings, I am considering the purchase of a Centurion HF amp. After reviewing the specs, I'm wondering about the 3100vdc supply dropping to 2600vdc under 'full' load. Is the power supply heavy enou

Its the nature of a DC supply to soar with no load and to droop with load. Has been since rectifiers and filter capacitors were invented. With a light load the DC voltage soars to the peak of the AC

The HV power supply in Ten Tec tube amps is not regulated. It is quite normal for the voltage to drop under load. They're designed to work that way, and they work fine. I have three Titans, a Herc I

The filament thrives more than the plate when brought up slowly. Most tubes larger than these 500 watt plate dissipation rating tubes have a peak filament or heater current rating on the data sheet.
