I did a bit of playing with the sidetone adjustments. That did nothing to help. I have been using an Astron SS30M power supply with a breaker in line. I tried a 962 TT supply and the noise is less. T

Paul, For power supplies to any 100 watt radio, I use a minimum no. 12 stranded wire, formed into a twisted pair. If you have a radio and other accessories drawing more than 20 amps, I would use no.

Last night I put new wiring (#10 wire) from the power supply to the radio. Much shorter and only connections are for the breaker and the ends. Soldered all connections, and now all seems OK. Thanks t
