Not so fast... Yes good operational procudures, timing and experience is citical... And it is probably overall the most important thing...Along with a great antenna. But all radios are not the same.

ok point taken - but nothing substitutes for a great antenna - period! there are some instances where all the bells and whistles will get the station - they are far and few between though - i've got

remember comparing the OII with an old collins isn't really fair - it's old school vs new school - like apples and oranges. run the OII's receiver against a more modern receiver such as the aor 7030
