Not yet but I plan to do so. I have an AL-80B. In preparation I have purchased an MFJ-495 Keyer. With it, I can adjust the delay in sending the first dit to the transceiver, as well as the hang delay

John, I don't think there is a way to know what filters are inside the rig without opening it. You said you got a 6kc filter wrapped in plastic; well if it is really 6kc, it's the AM filter, not a CW

I would open it up and see what is installed. To transmit FM and AM, you have to have the specific filters for each (15k and 6k respectively). If you don't have those filters, the maximum bandwidth i

Yes, you have what you need for AM rcv. Just push the MOD button to AM then adjust the BW to your liking. Chris, K4RCH -- _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@co

What makes the INRAD 2.8 KHz filter better than the stock filter supplied in the Eagle? Did you not get great reports with the stock filter? 73 Bob, K4TAX ____________________________________________

I just took the time to read through the Eagle manual. Much to my surprise, the spec section seems to indicate that ssb tx bandwidth IS determined by the roofing filter. So yes, changing the roofing

And of course I missed the later info that there's a fixed 2.4Khz dsp filter preceding the roofing filter. So it's hard to believe that the change in roofing filter would make much of a difference. 7

Was that slot configured for 2.4 KHz or 6.0 KHz? If 6.0KHz, did you leave the 2.4 KHz in the original slot and how was that slot configured? I'd like more detail as to what filter is actually in F1,

So would one surmise that removing the 2.4 KHz filter, leaving the slot configured for 2.4 KHz since transmit SSB mode is going to looking for a 2.4 KHz filter, but physically installing a 6.0 KHz fi
