The Eagle has been out for a little while now. For those of you that have one or had access to one, how would you rate it compared to an OmniV or OmniVI? How about an Orion? A used Orion and the Eagl

I was looking at the Eagle as a possible substitute for my Omni VI+ for a backup radio for my two Orions. I know TenTec has posted a mod to add an external receiver antenna for the Eagle. But, for my

Terry, I'm glad it's not just me. The remote tuning knob is the single reason that my next rig will be an Omni VII, rather than an Eagle. Seems trite, but my rigs are on a shelf, 8" above the desk to

A remote tuning knob is a must for me, also. I made my own, using a Ten-Tec encoder and knob with an LMB Heeger model MDC432 enclosure. I prefer its ergonomics to those of the Ten-Tec remote pod, and
