Hi Lin - Is that going to be a plug in oscillator to just be a swap out deal ? I might be interested if it is. I need to do a careful check again - have not looked at it for a couple years - but when

I would be very interested in participating, and yes, I believe the "original" Orion used the same oscillator. While the mod on my website mitigates the problem considerably, it can't really cure it.

I, too, would be interested in this. I reiterate Ron Castro's comments. Also, I would need to know just how "plug in" this mod would be. 73, Kim Elmore N5OP __________________________________________

as an aside, I found that my O II was off by 30 Hz (low -- I think). I took the cover off and adjusted it as best I could using WWV at 15 MHz and the "match tones between USB and LSB" method. Now I'm

Hi Hank, This won't be a direct swap-out. The replacement is larger, has more pins, and is a surface mounted device. Also, to be adjustable, a trimmer circuit (simple) needs to be added. Wow, that's

Hi Ron, I did get a firm quote of $135 each for 10 pieces, with a 12 week lead time! You had a concern about the output. I asked for the LVCMOS output option to make it a little simpler, however some

Interesting that there is a new part instead of the older Siward unit. Siward no longer lists the device, so TT must have gone somewhere else. It would be interesting to see the warm-up drift plot of
