I think the Omni V is an excellent cw radio. I own both the Omni VI and The Omni V because I couldn't seem to part with the V after I bought the VI. I think the VI is a better radiio, but not by much

I know that the FT-1000mp can't do qsk cross band either. The transmitted note ends up sounding awful plus there is a nasty click when keying. But with my Omni V, I don't seem to have a big problem.
