- Paul, I don't know if that encoder will work in the Orions but here's what I bought from Mouser and they work well in my Orion II: Mouser #: 652-PEC11L4225FS0015 Mfr. #: PEC11L-4225F-S0015 Desc.: ENC

- Ewww, are you lucky! I had to replace the encoder on a K2 earlier this year. The encoder cost $125, the single most expensive part on the entire radio, including the threaded collar. 73 Jim Allen W6O
