Is anyone using a TenTec Jupiter with an external tuner? If so, what are you using? I am looking at getting an SGC vs the tuner add-on that TenTec offers. Thanks and 73, Bob W4ZY ____________________

Hi Bob, I use a LDG AT-11MP and it works fine. I went to their website earlier today and see that they are selling some that are cosmetic not a 10 but with are operationally a 10 with a year warrant

Regarding the LDG AT-11MP tuner. I was dissapointed when I found several posts in eham mention that it was discontinued earlier this year. When up in Toronto last week for work, I stopped by RadioWor

Dave you know you can fill out some forms to recover the taxes that you paid in Canada. Check with Canadian Customs if you are close and they should be able to help you out. the _____________________

Question, please? Why use an external tuner vs the internal model that closely matches the Jupiter? Is there any loss in performance external vs internal? doc Kurt wrote: Hi Bob, I use a LDG AT-11MP

Well doc, I already had the external tuner, and bought the Jupiter (used) later from TT. I can also use it with my other radios (yes I do own other then TT). As far as lost, I don't think there is an

Thanks for all the responses so far. I am trying to decide if I want to get the Jupiter with their internal AT11 tuner or go for something else like an SGC. I generally do not trust most internal tun

Hi Bob, One other factor to take into consideration is whether you'll ever be using an external amplifier. The LDG does just fine with 100 watts. Otherwise, you'll have to get another model if you'll

Regardless, I'd opt for a tuner of the likes of the Tentec 238. It works extremely well and will handle the power and any complex Z connected to it. Ok, so one has to twiddle the knobs a bit. I find

Do we know why LDG is discontinuing the AT-11MP? Any reasonable concerns re. long-term reliability and parts availability for repair? Does the AT11-MP do a reasonable job of filling the gaps between

Yes, they have announced a high-end model (not yet shipping), and have introduced a lower cost, no frills model (Z-100) as well. I have an AT-11MP that I like a lot, and recently bought one of the hi

Hello, There is no loss of performance with an internal versus external tuner. However, many times the external tuner has a wider range of impedances that can be matched over an internal tuner Jim Du
