There is certainly no problem measuring low power into any antenna Z. I read this, the derating is only applicable DURING tuneup. I'm not terribly surprised, since you have to remember that the tune

Doug I don't think it's at all unusual for a tuner of this design to be derated during the tune up cycle. I use the LDG AT-11MP tuner with my Argo V and the Ten-Tec 253 with my Omni V.9 and Herc II.

Why in the world would you use more than 5 watts max. to tune with anyway?? There is a little thing called QRM. So, whats all the fuss about? kc4atu __________________________________________________
