Hi, Eric, Yes, the knob puzzle. You have to pull off the silver plastic sleeve, which you can do carefully with a knife blade or small screwdriver. Then there is a set-screw to loosen the main knob.

Thanks Martin ! I cure the problem within 10 minutes ! :-) I removed the silver sleeve around the know and discover the small screw ! I use the small hex wrench supplied with the Orion to remove the

Eric, Now that you mention it, I had a couple of encoders that were stiffer than the others on my Orion when it was new. Either they have all smoothed out through use, or I've gotten so used to it th
