Can I assume that the sweep in the O2 uses some processor power, and therefore, if it is turned off, frees up the processor for better performance of "more important stuff?" I am just not real impres

I have never seen any difference in performance of the radio with the scope on or off, and like you, I don't find it all that useful. That may be because I have never had a radio with a band scope be

Hi Ron, I'm curious what you find you like about the ICOM 'scope? I was over at a friend's house and their ProIII had the scope running and it was sweeping at about a 2 Hz rate - a far cry from the O

Duane, I had a Icom ProIII prior to my Orion II. I'm not sure what the scope was set to when you looked at your friends rig, but I can say that the ProIII scope works a light year or two better than
