Somewhere some one said that the meter circuit is controlled by the alc circuit. and the alc and the agc work together, so a swr problem may actually be a agc or alc hick-up.. first determine if its

Hello Dennis - I had the same issue. Check on a dummy load first as suggested. My problem was the PIN diodes (D2 and D3) on the low pass filter board and U-1 on the 9 Mhz board. Not too bad a job to

What does the Bird watt meter do? Stay at a constant 100 watts? Or drop the same as the Omni meter? What about reflected power indicated by the Bird? How about the Ic (Collector Current) on the Omni

Great questions Ken. The answers are: The Bird reads a reflected power of about 2 watts The power output reading on the Bird stays a constant 100W, while the Omni reads 25 watts, decaying to 15 watts
