Allen, The way I read Bernie's question, he is asking about the thicker solid line that is directly above the spectrum display. There is a "break" (it becomes a thin line) in it just between the "0"

I'm an Orion 1 owner and still can't figure out what in the hell these rectangles are. And the manual is totally useless. I suppose I'm to read the mind of the designer to divine what the rectangles
