- The recent discussions concerning abilities of Orion in QRQ have sparked my interest and have prompted me to conduct a few tests. For those that are interested I set out my findings here. Firstly, le

- ... Hi Bob, several months (and revisions) earlier, I performed detailed measurements and found that quality of transmitted CW greatly varied with code speed, time between characters/words and especi

- Was WriteLog generating CW via the serial Port? Or was a MK-1100 Multi-Keyer being used? The Multi-Keyer was designed do alleviate various CW timming issues when using trying to use a PC's serial por

- 5B4AGN's results with high-speed CW are fascinating to me, not because I ever expect to work over 40 wpm CW, or even 30 wpm, but because of what it says about the Orion's design. There's been a lot o

- Writelog generated the CW using a W5XD Multi-keyer which I rely on for SO2R control and generation of clean stutter free code. The Multi-keyer accepts asynchronous high speed ascii from a com port an

- Martin I think you are very probably correct but as my tests show Orion produces acceptable code up to 60 wpm, how much of a problem is this? Certainly for avid fans of 60+ wpm this is a problem but
