This month's QST has a real good article on a flagpole antenna. Another article a few years back shows how to put a Hustler 5BTV inside PVC water pipe. Might want to look at those.  Good luck with th

Jim, It is that philosophy that puts ALL HAMS IN A BAD POSITION WITH NON-HAMS. I have worked DXCC with indoor antennas runing QRP power levels. Most associations will come down hard on your outside a

Years ago, when I worked at an FM radio station (and this was long before PRB-1, incidentally), a local amateur had a problem getting his tower zoned. (Actually, he had been issued a permit, and then

I don't agree with that at all Jim. I think there is indeed a justification for stealth antennas. If nobody detects it, it doesn't bother anyone and everyone is happy. No damage done at all. If you m

Local hams in my area tend to prefer the remote antenna tuner/random wire solution. Many are using the Icom remote antenna tuner, and as long and high a wire, as far away from the house, as possible.

I have to agree with attachments to the roof or the house. They don't add to pleasant life. Sure are nice for short feed lines, but unless you are in a place the wind never blows they can be annoying
