The same information was posted on the Alpha site at one time. Try there first. Essentially, it used the TX-En keying loop of the Omni to key the Alpha 87A through a diode. Vac Relay models of Alphas

The note specifically states that the connection described (a diode off the TX EN loop) is only for the Alpha 87A and 89, which use PIN diode switching with almost no delay times. It wasn't intended

Golly, I had no idea there was any issue at all hooking my Omni VII to an Alpha amp, other than to set some sort of reasonable T/R delay. WE used the PTT cable/jack on the rig to the amp, and no ALC
