Sounds like some sort of parasitic oscillation that ran away. Since it is off the normal resonate frequency of your antennas the SWR and power will be all out of whack. Why it happened is anybody's g

I chased a similar problem in my Omni-V a few years back. It turned out to be a TR switch problem. You can test this idea by pulling the input to the Rx board, or even switching to the Rx antenna usi
