Paul You can unplug the signal in and out of dsp on main board and touch them together See if it is getting through the dsp I had that problem and it was the regulator supplying voltage to dsp chip.

The DSP would not cause your problem as described. If the DSP were dead, you would get no audio and no noise. First make sure you are not selecting a filter that is not present in the radio. The rese

Worst scenario is the T/R switching diodes on the BPF board. Take the top cover off then the speaker bracket at the back. Release coax lead 17 right hand back and inject a sig from antenna on there.
