Peter, I had an intermittent problem recently with my K2, It was pendeling between 100w and 12w. Luckily the problem was only on the 160m band. I simply re-soldered ALL solder joints in the 160m low

Check the B+ wire going to the amplifier module. There is a history of this "rivet" and wire connection opening up and needing to be resoldered. Happened to my VI+ after 5-6 years of use. 73, Duane D
