- You can also just connect a db 25 directly into the back of the Omni VI and run that into your computer serial port. This eliminates the need for an Icom CIV converter. Carl Moreschi N4PY Franklinton

- Carl: Is there any advantage to using the DB25 instead of the Icom port? I'm also using the DB25 port to control my Herc II, but there is a Y so it's available for other purposes also, I assume. Dave
