Hi Peter, Mine does the same thing. I noticed it yesterday. The bands have been SO hot, and yes - backing down the RF gain also gives me that digital swooshy sound when tuning. Bry, AF4K ____________

It is just normal zipper noise created by the steps of the rotary encoders. Some are worse than others. Re routing of data cables inside the radio can help. Adding chokes to the cables can help. Not
