I have a new-to-me Omni VI+. I have a question concerning pass band tuning and the filters. My Omni VI+ has these filters: 9MHZ (48058) 9429 8-pole -2.4 khz N1 (48058) 9918 8-pole -2.4 hz N2 219 (480
If you are running psk like I do....center the recieved signal on 2000 hrz on the waterfall, click in N2. Anything below 2000 hrz just dissapears...click in the additional 250 hrz cw filter and one c
Denton - Thanks for the reply. I don't do PSK. Can you click in N2 only and then move the passband with PBT??? 73 de K1ESE John _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list Ten
John, I believe that the PBT control only affects the 6.3 MHz filters. The 9 MHz filters don't move. Make sure that when you are testing the N1 filter, you aren't seeing the effect of adjusting the 6

The pass band tuning does NOT adjust the 6.3 MHz filters. It moves the 9 to 6.3 MHz offset oscillator which changes the effective frequency of the fixed frequency 6.3 MHz filter. After the 6.3 MHz fi
N1 and N2, if I remember correctly, are for selecting first IF (9 MHz) filters. The passband tuning works on the 2nd IF (6.3 MHz). 73, Duane Duane Calvin, AC5AA Austin, Texas www.ac5aa.com __________
Thanks to all that responded. The answer to my original question was that the pass band tuning does not work with the 9 mhz filters. But, I also learned how to use the PBT control to squeeze the vari
Hi John, The 9 MHz IF bandpass center frequency does NOT get shifted by the PBT control. The PBT control shifts a VCXO on the Passband Tuning Board. This 15.3 MHz VCXO converts the 9 MHz IF down to 6
