I haven't received my Orion yet and maybe when it arrives it will be evident, but what is the purpose of the band data connectors? None of TT's amps have the capability and as far as I know, they are

The T-T solid state amps (no longer in production) used the band data information. Also, most of the automatic antenna/filter switching products (such as Top-Ten, W0XB) now support Orion band data.
