Not Normal, and it's a symptom of a power supply problem. Had the same problem with mine. The problem was the power supply; that is, did not have the capacity to handle the Orion in the CW mode. The

Let me hazard a guess, as I had the same thing here. Do you have ANYTHING between the radio and the power supply? I was running mine to a "power strip" that I use for other 13vdc things in the shack.
