The hardware blanker doesn't seem to do much, it's the software blanker that cuts it down somewhat (S9 to S4 or so). Believe it or not, he's running a 4-axis vertical milling machine in his garage, w

The Orion is still on my 'possible' new rig list and I am very curious about its noise blanker functionality. I live in a very troublesome location for electrical and pulse generated noise. There hav

The Hardware NB on the Orion is Excellent!! The DSP blanker is effective, but not as good as the Hardware Blankr!! The HW NB on Orion is better than the Omni 6+ NB here. Regards, Kirby, K7EC ________

Really depends on the kink of noise, for engine/power line type repetitive noise, i agree, hardware is best i've seen. For band noise, the software is good, but for weak signal work, I leave them both

Carl: Does the Orion's NB unblank the noise in the presence of a signal outside but near the passband of the rx (every NB I've had does this)? i.e. When listening to a CW signal, say, under pulse noi
