Mark good morning. I'm in the process of wiring up a 756 PRO for soundcard packet, and noticed I forgot to give you 2 cables. All they are are 3 conductor to RCA patch cord's. You should note two thi

I think more information is needed, Charlie. Like, what kind of interface have you installed between your soundcard and the Omni V? How are you feeding the transmit audio to the Omni? receive audio

I just started running PSK31 with my Omni VI+. The software is the G3PLX V1.08. I use a SoundBlaster card in the PC, an old ACER 486DX66. Nothing special. RCA line in on the Omni. RCA line out on the

I use both the Jupiter and the Orion for PSK31. I only work the 20 Meter band and use USB with a soundcard. I have been setting the TX FILTER BW at the most narrow setting because of PSK31's narrow (

For PSK31, I use the following: Tx BW: 3000 Hz LF Rolloff: 100 Hz (helps keep 60 Hz out) TX Eq: 0 dB You want the widest and flattest passband for the Tx. On Rx, I search the waterfall with ~ 3 kHz B

I can understand the narrow bandwidth on RX to deal with adjacent signals. But I don't see any advantage for narrow filters on TX for PSK31. 73 Bob, K4TAX ____________________________________________

I learned from experience that my soundblaster card would put out second harmonics. With a wide transmit passband, and a 1000 hz note, you might also be transmitting a 2000 hz note. Therefore, I try

On that note (?), it's good to check your soundcard levels. I can easily drive mine into distortion, getting lots of harmonics and junk. If you run it just below where it begins to clip and distort,

I suspect the SoundBlaster card was overdriving the input stage of the radio and thus lots of 2nd harmonics were generated. 73 Bob, K4TAX _______________________________________________ TenTec mailin
