Vic, both of my Paragons have the skirt ffirmly fastened to the knob and there is nothing between the skirt and the face plate. The shaft for the encoder is held to the knob by one set screw. No adju

Some of the units have a felt ring between the knob and the faceplate. The position of the knob, i.e. space, will increase or decrease the knob tension. Might check on this. 73 Bob, K4TAX ___________
