I have a new (to me) OMNI 7 here and I wonder how to go about Sound Card interfacing? Does anyone have experience with this and can shine a little light for me? The two interfaces I have are designed

Hi Bry -- do you have the TT 4-output, 7-pin DIN plug "octopus" cable that provides easy connection to the pins of the rear panel accessory jack? If not, a $10 bill and some postage will get you one.

Yes I think I can wire that cable up to my present EASY-DIGI with no trouble. Now if I could JUST get my OMNI VII to stop clicking when I transmit with the 422 linear amplifier running 500 watts CW.

You do have it connected for QSK thus using the two control cables between the amp and the Omni VII. Or are you just using the EXT KEY connection between the Omni VII and the amp? Is this a click com

Thank you. Yes I am going to make adapters for the octopus. Then wire it into my present EASY-DIGI interface. Is there a listing for the color codes and what those 5 plugs function as? Best regards -
