No but it would be a challenge physically. It would probably be an IF gain control instead of RF. You may want to investigate moving the attn. switch from the back to the front panel if you feel incl

Using the multi knob for everything but fixing breakfast has been my main dislike of the Orion. This may not work, or maybe not liked by many, Put a dual function pot on the AF gain knob. Make one th

But but but... They are not pots, they are encoders that drive the software, yes even the RF and AF gain, hence my original suggestion to have the RF gain changeable to AF gain on the multi knob with

I've learned to use it the way it is, and that's OK. If i were to change anything on my O-II, I'd have the present AF gains as permanent RF gains, and make the AF gain part of the multi knob Dave WA3

This may not be everyone's "cup of tea", but this ergonomic concern is one of the reasons that I use N4PY's "Orion" and "Pegasus" software. Many of the control functions accessed through the "MULTI"

As a Jupiter owner, I have to live with a common control for AF & RF gain. It ain't that bad. Standard operation for me is to set the AF gain slight higher than would seem normal. Then switch to RF g
