Essentially, the Jupiter is a Pegasus with front panels controls added. There are other differences such as better final protection in the Jupiter but they really are the same radio. The Jupiter has

To put into simple terms, a Jupiter is a Pegasus with knobs. They do use the same command set and asa matter of fact, you can bring up a Jupiter in the "Pegasus" mode by using the program from TenTec

Thanks, guys... a friend of mine says he is sour on TT gear because they abandoned the Pegasus and the Jupiter has a different command set, but I think he is mistaken - Carl hits the nail on the head

The Jupiter was developed as the "Pegasus FP" -- FP for Front Panel. A Jupiter IS a Pegasus, but a Pegasus is NOT a Jupiter -- the Jupiter has an additional command set when not emulating the Pegasus
