SB-200 uses a pair of 572B triodes. The most I have seen come out of and SB-200 is maybe 800 Watts, and I suspect there was some reflected power making the power reading higher than real output. Six

The ORIGINAL SB-200 did put out about 800w. Heathkit soon changed it to reduce the power to about 600w. The 800w version was killing the sales of the SB-220 and they wanted to have a greater differen

I operated a SB200 for a long time. It's not going to produce over about 600 watts pep even with a new set of "Killer Bs". Operating at 220 nd greatly quietens the amp and increases it's efficiency.
