I was working a fellow TT owner on CW on 20m this afternoon, and our conversation led to the interesting question of "what rigs would you like to see TT bring out for their loyal users?" I would like

How many people would pay $800 for a single band, cw only radio? Forget that one. What about something like the K2/100 with no SSB adapter? N4LQ Steve _______________________________________________

Sorry Steve, but I am a candidate. I will pay $800 for a monoband 40m Ten-Tec rig. Sign me up for serial number 00001. Next year I'll take one for 20m. But that's probably it. Now I don't see a need

I would pay it, for a CW only single band rig with some of the Orion ideas built-in. I mean, hey, all this is for the sake of discussion anyway. That's what makes people different. I love the K2, it

The FCC should act by end of year or in 2005, on its proposed rule changes that will ease the amplifier rule. Then you may well see some amplifier kits for HF to take QRP radio levels to the 100 watt

I've just never been a big Scout fan, Ron. I think TT can do better than that. If they want to call it a Scout II, that's fine, but they need something to compete with the mobile rigs like Yaesu and

Even at 20 watts output, the Ten Tec Argonaut V does an outstanding job of competing on CW! With good conditions and the 100 watt radio at S9, you will only be just under S7 with the 20 watt Argonaut

It's even better than that. One S unit is 6db so 25 watts is one S unit less than 100 watts. So an S9 signal at 100 watts is just a frog's hair under S8 at 20 watts. Carl Moreschi N4PY Franklinton, N
