This morning I iniected 50uV on the Corsair 2 bands. Cw bands, 500hz filter. Attenuators on rf gain pots excluded. On the S-meter I read: 28mhz - S9+8dB 21mhz - S9 14mhz - S6.5 7mhz - S6 3.5mhz- S7 1

Earlier Ten-Tec radios did not have the same gain on all bands. The higher bands were more sensitive. I don't know if Ten-Tec still does that or not, and if not, I don't know when the quit. 73 Rick,

These are the input figures I measure for various S-meter readings on my Corsair II 160m: S6 = -90dBm, S9 = -68dBm (89uV), S9+20 = -47dBm 80m: S6 = -90dBm, S9 = -70dBm (71uVuV), S9+20 = -48dBm 40m: S

Ten Tecs standard has always been S-9 at 50 uV on 14 mhz. Now, I assume you fine tuned the main tuning when going from one band to another to center the signal in the 500 hz filter. Repeat your test,

A friend rescued a Corsair from going to the scrap heap. I used a noise generator, ICOM IC7000 and an old BC221 to get the radio operating again. EVERY adjustment in that radio was out of alignment.
