10% THD in a Guitar Amp is a good thing in some cases.Most have a separate PRE (Preamp ) and POST ( should be self explanatory. ) By running the PRE higher Fuzz or Distortion is created to add effect

Yes, I do know that the 12 volt power to most Computer Speakers also limits output before Clipping sets in. ( Output voltage across 8 ohm load equals VCC or power supply voltage. ) __________________
